A Morning at the Market

On Saturday morning, Tamara goes to the market with her friend David

The market is in the centre of town. It is busy today. There are many people and lots of colourful stalls.

First, Tamara and David stop at a fruit stall. There are red apples, yellow bananas and big oranges. Tamara chooses six apples and some strawberries.

Next, they go to a vegetable stall. David buys potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. The vegetables look very fresh.

Tamara is hungry, so they stop at a small food stand. Tamara has a cheese sandwich and David has some soup. They sit at a table and watch the people at the market.

Before they go home, Tamara sees a bread stall.

"Can we get some bread?" she asks.

David smiles. They buy a loaf of bread to take home.

Tamara likes going to the market. She can see lots of different food, talk to the sellers and choose what she wants to eat.
