A favourite singer and a night to remember
Gemma loves music. Her favourite singer is performing at a concert in the city on Friday night.
Gemma goes with her friend Tamara. They meet after work and have something to eat before the concert.
They arrive early because they want to find their seats before the music starts.
The concert hall is very big. There are hundreds of people inside. Some people are talking, and others are taking photos.
At eight o'clock, the lights go down and everyone becomes quiet.
Then the singer walks onto the stage.
The music starts, and everyone cheers.
Gemma knows many of the songs. She sings with Tamara and dances in front of her seat. Her favourite song is the fourth song of the night.
After an hour, the singer stops and talks to the audience.
“Thank you for coming tonight,” she says.
The final song is fast and exciting. Everyone stands up and sings together.
After the concert, Gemma and Tamara walk out of the concert hall.
“What was your favourite part?” Tamara asks.
“All of it!” Gemma says. “Can we come again next year?”
Tamara laughs. “Definitely.”
