Jasmine's First Weekend in London

Jasmine usually works in Paris, but this week she is visiting the London office.

It is her first time in London. On Saturday, she has a free day, so Gemma, who works in the London office, offers to show her around.

They meet in the morning at a café near Jasmine's hotel. The hotel is close to
a Tube station, so after coffee they take the Tube into the city centre.

First, they go to Westminster. Jasmine sees Big Ben and takes a photo. Then they walk past the Houses of Parliament and across Westminster Bridge.

The city is busy. Jasmine sees red buses, black taxis and people from many different countries.

At lunchtime, Gemma takes Jasmine to a small café. Jasmine has a sandwich and some orange juice. Gemma has a salad and coffee.

After lunch, they get on a red double-decker bus and sit upstairs. Jasmine loves the view because she can see the busy streets below.

Later, they walk through St James's Park and stop for an ice cream.

In the evening, they walk back towards Jasmine's hotel.

“What do you think of London?” Gemma asks.

“It's very busy,” Jasmine says, “but I love it.”

“You'll have to come back,” says Gemma. “There's still a lot to see.”

Jasmine smiles. “Definitely!”
